MY BACKGROUND
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Audrey Chow first studied piano with Peggy Yip. Audrey Chow holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and a RCM ARCT Performance Certificate. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the University of British Columbia, where she studied with Dr. Corey Hamm. Audrey Chow has been a recipient of the Mildred Johnson Scholarship in Music, and the Erzsebet Gessler Memorial Scholarship. Having completed a B.Mus, she is now pursuing her Master of Music with Dr. David Fung at the University of British Columbia. Having competed in a number of piano competitions, Audrey Chow has also participated in a number of master classes and festivals where she played for Dr. Henri-Paul Sicsic, Professor Angela Cheng, Dr. Alvin Chow, Dr. Robin McCabe, Professor Craig Sheppard, Ilana Vered, and Dr. Libby Yu.
Music learning is a continuous journey of discovery. Since 2010, Audrey has been working with students of all ages and abilities and guiding them in their musical journey. She believes in creating a safe space for students to learn and grow as a musician. Audrey has experience teaching RCM piano and theory, and is RCM Teacher Certified. She has had students participate in competitions such as Kiwanis Music Festival and Richmond Music Festival.
